This book starts with the basics, tells you what tools you will need, bead sizes and types, well, everything you will need to get started. I haven't had time to get started yet, but this book tells me what I will need.

I have been stringing beads and creating jewelry for 5 years this would have been an ideal book for me in the beginning of that.. But even after I have "figured it out" this book has ideas, tips and charts, references that are helpful to a beginning beader and a seasoned one.
It has some bead size charts, types of stringing and other materials, design ideas, bead shapes, tools and techniques and some project ideas/instructions..
I mean for the price you are bound to get a few things that will really contribute to your hobby/art! I think it's a must for beginners but great for anyone into beading and making their own jewelry..

Did you ever walk into a beading or craft store and marvel over all the beautiful and unique looking beads and necklace making materials but feel clueless about to where to start? You could do as I did the first time and just buy a few beads and things that look like they would work as closures and connectors and such. But I ended up buying the wrong things and more stuff than I really needed before I went back and bought this book. This book made the whole thing a lot easier.
This is a basic book on stringing beads and having them end up as a necklace, bracelet or earrings. It tells you exactly what you need and gives simple instructions for doing things like stringing beads, crimping, adding clasps, knotting and adding other findings. There are diagrams and pictures of all the tiny pieces and lots of photos of finished products. These serve as a good inspiration and good ideas for your own projects. It also tells and shows what tools you need to buy to help you put it all together.
This is the book that I should have read before I bought any beads, wires, tools or other findings. It narrows down what you actually need and gives good clear instructions about how to get started.

This is a great book. I was totally new at stringing beads, and knowing which tools I needed to purchase to begin making my own jewelry. This book has wonderful illustrations to walk one through a project. I made my shopping list, and have made two 3-piece sets of jewelry using tips from this very informative book.
